How to plan content and assess organic growth

A testing plan for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, with clear goals and results that keep content experiments separate from purchased interactions.

Define an observable outcome

Replace “I want to grow” with a question you can check: did people understand how to request a quote? Did a video answer a recurring question? Write down the goal, period and metric before publishing. A bakery, for example, can test whether content about custom orders generates relevant questions. Incoming messages, quote requests and sales are different outcomes from followers and likes; choose which data you actually need to record.

Adapt the same idea for each network

A fictional planning example: over a week, a bakery answers “how do I order for a party?”. On Instagram, it could publish a carousel explaining the steps and a Reel showing the product. On TikTok, it could test a short video starting with the customer’s question. On YouTube, it could make a fuller explanation of the process and common questions. The goal is to test message clarity and adapt the format, without promising recommendations or reach. Use only images and accounts you are authorized to publish.

Compare with context, without false conclusions

Record the date, format, topic and a metric tied to the goal. A hypothetical example: one post generates 8 enquiries from 200 profile visits and another generates 12 from 600. The proportions are 4% and 2%, but those numbers alone do not establish that the first format is better: topic, audience, period and promotion may also differ. Observe more than one post, use comparable windows and read recurring questions before choosing the next test.

Keep the organic test separate from purchased services

If you buy a service, record the content targeted by the order, type, quantity and date. This prevents attributing the purchase to the experiment’s organic result. Packages do not replace useful content, audience responses or a review of your offer. They do not guarantee recommendations, sales or real participation. Before ordering, check the public link, final quantity and variant conditions; track delivery separately from the metrics used to assess your strategy.
